Connecting international students with local ones to find the perfect home

International students usually have a rough time when it comes to move to their destination country. Do I know anyone there? Where exactly is the University located? Where should I live?

Finding the right accommodation is always one of the hardest tasks, specially if you come from another part of the World or have a complete different culture.

CommonView is a service proposal that links local students with international ones in order to help them find their perfect future home.

Internship at Loewe

William Morris meets punk

Pop up store at Liberty London – December, 2017

As part of the Christmas campaign, we developed several pop up stores around the world. Here you will see an example of one of them: Loewe’s pop up store at Liberty shopping center courtyard.

In terms of furniture for product display, a series of tables and chairs inspired on Arts and Crafts were manufactured, following the designs of Phillip Webb and William Morris. The beautiful prints of this collection made the product to be displayed within “camouflage” groups of cushions and busts upholstered with the same fabrics.

Loewe – EllesVMH

As part of the LVMH Group’s Loewe company, employees and trainees are regularly invited to participate in internal activities. In this this call for ideas named “EllesVMH”, they intend to raise awareness of gender inequality in the workplace and try to reduce it.

The variety of information that we can express on circular infographics is endless. So are our differences and coincidences. Not a single LVMH member has the same eye color or skin tone; we all have different cultural backgrounds, differente ages, capabilities and roles in the group. Let’s just express them with something that everybody can hold on the hand.

On this proposal, diversity is represented using body colors, but any kind of analysis or statistics could be represented. Information means power, and by sharing the right one we could contribute to generate a collective responsability in regards to gender equality.

Veronica Mediæ

In bullfighting, the media veronica is a set of fundamental movements used by the bullfighters to perform their task. In a work such as theirs, body movement is essential: it contains the identity and style of the bullfighter, sets the tone for the relationship with the bull and it is also a vital risk component.

The bullfighter’s clothing, although loaded with stylistic resources, follows clear guidelines of morphology, mobility and protection. It is a key element of a complex elaboration that brings together the knowledge and social value of craftsmanship and masters for years.

In contrast to a job like that of a matador, many other people work seated or in static positions. This sedentary relationship with work is largely due to the need to use a series of computer tools whose nature has been static until a few years ago.

The development of these communication technologies to make them mobile and portable places us today at a key moment in time when, despite having access to high-powered tools that fit in our pockets, our body continues to work sitting in a chair in front of a table.

Mediae Veronica is a concept of comfort that aims to return the daily development of work to body movement through clothing. Mobility or the relocated development of work are not values of comfort in themselves, but the possibility to opt for them is without a doubt. Comfort is in this case the ability to choose how and where we carry out our professional activity.

It is a dressable device that acts as an interlocutor between the movements of our body and the augmented reality devices that are beginning to be launched on the market. Using a visual recognition technology based on quick response codes (QR codes) or bidi codes, arranged in the form of patterns made of fabric and now recognizable by any camera.

Mediae Veronica is woven from developing polymer fibers, known as artificial muscles. This new type of fibre is able to lengthen and shorten its length in response to electrical stimuli, providing a perfect morphological adaptation. The integration of other technologies at fibrillary level is possible, thus generating an intelligent fabric. An example of this is the development of accelerometer sensors at a fibrillary level, thus allowing precise knowledge of the layout and variation in the space of our body.

Mediae Veronica is a meeting point between information management and human anatomy in motion. It is the training device that allows us to make our body, our tool.
